Early Access Story Overview

You arrive in Pebble Town to take over a small animal resort. At first, the farm is overgrown and the buildings need work. The tutorial introduces you to basic tools, your first sheep, and simple habitat care. Once you settle in, the villagers begin to ask for help. Their quests teach you crafting, farming, animal nutrition, fishing, and exploration.

The story is light and cozy, fitting the life-sim genre. There are no harsh fail states. Instead, progression comes from completing requests, expanding habitats, and unlocking new animals and recipes.

Main Quests

Something's Not Right

Rudgar gives you this quest on day two after you read the newspaper. A creature is trapped in the witch's house, and Rudgar asks you to investigate.

Key steps:

1. Read the newspaper on day two.
2. Talk to Rudgar to receive the quest.
3. Travel west from the lumberjack twice, then north to reach the witch's house.
4. Enter the house and interact with the cage from the side to free the creature.

Reward: An automated feeding helper that keeps your animals fed as long as your feed storage has food.

This is one of the most impactful early quests because it removes the daily chore of manually feeding every habitat.

About What Animals Eat

Serenya, the veterinarian, teaches you how to make your own animal feed. This quest turns you from a buyer of feed into a self-sufficient farmer and crafter.

Key steps:

1. Visit the Veterinary clinic and talk to Serenya.
2. Receive the Farmer's Mix recipe.
3. Plant green beans, radish, and hay on your farm.
4. Harvest the crops once they mature.
5. Craft Farmer's Mix at your workbench.
6. Place the feed in your habitat feeding bowls.

Reward: Farmer's Mix recipe unlocked, plus the ability to feed your animals with farm-grown ingredients.

Special Catch

Lioren at the shop asks you to catch one Emerald Bass and one Golden Koi.

Key steps:

1. Talk to Lioren at the shop to receive the quest.
2. Go to the fishing spot to the left of the shop.
3. Face the water with your fishing rod equipped.
4. Press the reel button when the ring is inside the marked area. Repeat until the fish is caught.

First Ride

Rudgar introduces you to horse racing at the local racecourse.

Key steps:

1. Talk to Rudgar to start the quest.
2. Go to the racecourse in the southern area of the map.
3. Pick a horse and place a bet.
4. Watch the race. If your horse wins, you receive prize money.

A Day Off

The postman asks you to deliver letters to three villagers.

Key steps:

1. Receive the letters from the postman.
2. Deliver a letter to the house below the veterinarian's clinic.
3. Deliver a letter to the house in the eastern area.
4. Deliver the final letter to the house near paw prints south of your home.

Reward: A courier's medal. If you hang it on the wall of your house, your scooter's speed increases.

A Curious Mixture

The witch asks you to bring her a list of rare materials and fish.

Key steps:

1. Collect 75 silver ores.
2. Catch three golden perch, one azure salmon, and two ruby tails.
3. Golden perch can be found at several fishing points.
4. Ruby tails are found below the stone bridge near paw prints.
5. Azure salmon can be caught near the shop, the stone bridge, and the beach.
6. Return everything to the witch.

Above the Clouds

The witch asks you to climb the mountain and collect flowers.

Key steps:

1. Read the witch's letter and talk to her.
2. Go to the climbing minigame to the left of the mine.
3. Press the button when the arrow is near the hook to latch on.
4. Climb to the top of Mountain Aethespire.
5. Collect 15 green flowers and return them.

Reward: Botanic Master's Medal, which speeds up plant growth.

Keep It Quiet

You receive two conflicting letters and must choose who to trust.

Key steps:

1. Read the letters from Rudgar and the witch the next morning.
2. Decide who to trust. The walkthrough here follows trusting Rudgar.
3. Talk to the witch and invite her to the park.
4. If you choose the wrong dialogue option, you can try again the next day.

How to Repair the Boat

The dock owner offers to fix your boat so you can take shortcuts across the water.

Key steps:

1. Talk to the dock owner.
2. Return the next day with hardwood and fiber.
3. The repaired boat lets you fast-travel between docks on your farm and around the map.

How to Date Another Character

Pawsome Resort lets you romance and marry eligible single NPCs.

Key steps:

1. Check the NPC profile in the menu to see if a character is single.
2. Talk to them every day to raise friendship.
3. After bonding, they will invite you on dates.
4. Continue the relationship to eventually marry them.

Side Activities That Support the Main Story

• Farming. Crops feed both your animals and your crafting goals. Keep fields watered and harvested daily.
• Crafting. The workbench turns raw crops into useful items like Farmer's Mix. More recipes are expected as Early Access develops.
• Villager friendships. Talking to villagers every day raises friendship levels.
• Exploration. Use your scooter or the map to reach areas outside Pebble Town, including the mine and the witch's house.

What to Expect in Early Access

Pawsome Resort entered Steam Early Access on June 22, 2026. The current build focuses on the foundation of resort life: building habitats, caring for animals, farming, crafting, and a growing set of story quests. More content is planned for future updates.

• A cozy, low-pressure loop. There is no rush. You can farm, craft, and explore at your own pace.
